We owe a huge thanks to Jennette Cox, mother of Melanie Davis--a former SSC Board of Governors member and a returning SSC general member.  Miss Cox is an amazingly talented artist who took the time to capture exactly what we were looking for in a logo.

ABOUT THE ARTIST:

Jennette Cox, of Wadsworth, Ohio, is a proud Air Force mom of son Andrew, daughter Melanie, and son-in-law Will Davis. She is the daughter of a National Guard veteran, sister of a retired USN Master Chief (Seabee), sister-in-law of a retired Air Force MSgt.

Jennette works full time for an Internal Medicine group practice, works part time with Sit Means Sit Cleveland-Akron as a Therapy Dog evaluator, a Canine Good Citizen evaluator, dog groomer, group class instructor, Pet First Aid instructor and dog photographer.

​

As a volunteer, Jennette works with therapy dogs Zack and Cady both in teaching Therapy Dog Class as well as visiting at the Akron Summit County Library in a reading program where the dogs “read” to the children or the children read to the dogs. In her “spare” time Jennette enjoys challenging her artistic side using varying different mediums to include, pencil, water color, pottery and the latest in digital art.
